Live2Lead Lineup

🌟 Turning Mondays Into Fridays Starts With One Shift

Last week leaders gathered at Northcentral Technical College in Wausau WI for Live2Lead and wow, the energy in that room was something special. If you were there, you know exactly what I mean. If you weren’t, I want to give you a taste of what the speakers poured into us, because these ideas matter for every one of us who is trying to lead better, live better, and turn Mondays into Fridays.

John C. Maxwell: “Everything worthwhile is uphill.”

John reminded us that nothing great happens by accident. Growth requires intention. Hope is not a strategy. If your workplace feels stuck, or you feel stuck, this is your moment to choose the uphill path. And yes, it’s harder, but hard is where the transformation happens.

Jesse Cole: “Fans first leadership.”

Jesse is building the most exciting fan experience on the planet with the Savannah Bananas, but here’s the piece most leaders miss:
Your employees are your first fans.
When people at work feel invisible, unheard, or unappreciated, they disengage. The opposite is also true, so make people feel seen and they become unstoppable.

Tiffani Bova: “Experience is the new growth engine.”

Tiffani talked about the link between employee experience and customer experience. You simply cannot treat your team poorly and expect them to treat customers well. Culture isn’t a “soft skill,” it’s the bottom-line engine. When people are struggling, confused, or drifting, it always shows up in your customer outcomes.

Anthony Trucks: “Identity drives capacity.”

Anthony’s message was powerful and personal:
You don’t rise to your goals; you fall to your systems and identity.
If your Monday dread is strong, it might not be the work, it might be the story you’re telling yourself about who you are at work. Leadership starts with owning your identity shift.

Craig Groeschel: “Successful people do consistently what others do occasionally.”

Craig reminded us that habits shape everything, your leadership, your confidence, your culture, your results. Consistency compounds. If things feel chaotic, inconsistent, or unpredictable in your workplace, start here: small daily disciplines beat big inconsistent efforts every time.

šŸ’” What This Means for You—Right Now

If you’re struggling with burnout, frustration, disengagement, or confusion, hear this:

You’re not broken.
You’re early.

Think about it like this:

  • When you start building a new habit, you’re early.
  • When you try to lead differently, you’re early.
  • When you begin shifting a culture, you’re early.
  • When you’re learning new skills, new mindsets, or new expectations, you’re early.

And when you’re early, things feel messy, uncomfortable, slow, or discouraging. That’s normal. That’s part of growth and not a sign that you’re broken, behind, or unqualified.

Live2Lead reminded us that the leaders who thrive aren’t perfect, they’re willing.

  • Willing to grow.
  • Willing to change.
  • Willing to try again.
  • Willing to go uphill.

You can absolutely turn Mondays into Fridays, but it starts with one intentional step forward. One new habit. One new mindset. One new conversation. One new decision to show up differently.
